About the 737-800
The over-wing section is roughly the middle third of the cabin. Seats just ahead of the wing combine a smooth ride with less engine noise than seats behind it.
Quick guide
Turbulence worries? Sit over the wing.
Feel closed-in? Choose an aisle seat, ideally near the front.
Noise bothers you? Sit ahead of the wing and bring noise-cancelling headphones.
Heights unsettle you? An aisle seat, or keep the shade down.
All seats are equally safe. These suggestions are about comfort only. Layouts and zones are typical — your airline's exact configuration may differ, so check its seat map when you book. Want to know more? Read about turbulence.
